Today we will discuss how you can add an Microsoft email account, Outlook, Hotmail, Live mail, to iPhone. There are two ways to add new email account to iPhone. Steps to Add Outlook, Hotmail, Live mail to iPhone

We use an iPhone 8 plus which is running on iOS 11 in this demo. If you use other phone models or iOS versions, you might see some difference.

Open Settings app on iPhone. Tap Accounts and Passwords >> Add Account, you will then see a screen like this.

From the above screenshot, you can find a list of different email service providers, iCloud, Exchange, Google, Yahoo, AOL and Outlook.com. To add an Outlook, Hotmail or Live mail account to iPhone, choose Outlook.com to proceed. Enter your full email address in the next screen.

Then type in your password for this email account and sign in.

The Mail app on iPhone will then connect to your mail server for authentication. A permission request screen shows up and needs your confirmation. The Mail app for iPhone needs your permission to sync your mail, contacts, calendar, tasks, send email, view your basic profile, etc. After that you have the option to choose what data to sync, mail, contacts, calendars, reminders, notes.

Finally tap the Save button to finish the Outlook, Hotmail or Live mail configuration on your iPhone. Your emails and other selected data will be downloaded on to your iPhone. You can launch the Mail app to check your emails now.
