In an previous post, we demonstrated how iPhone iPad users can directly open, view and edit AutoCAD drawings (DWG, DXF) on their iOS device. If your drawings are saved on PC, this DWG viewer and editor app even provides users the built-in wireless transfer tool to transfer DWG drawings from computer to iPhone iPad over Wi-Fi. Here’s how it works.
First of all, connect both your iPhone or iPad and your PC or Mac computer to the same Wi-Fi network. Otherwise you can’t connect them through Wi-Fi.
Launch the DWG app on your iPhone or iPad. The Home tab opens automatically. Touch the Add (+ icon) at the bottom right corner to bring up the secondary menu and choose File Transfer from there.
Once the File Transfer screen opens, tap on Start button to start the HTTP server and the HTTP file transfer address will be presented. Enter this URL in a desktop browser, IE, Edge, Firefox, Safari, on your PC or Mac.

You can then easily select DWG drawings on your PC and import them to your iPhone or iPad through Wi-Fi or download DWG drawings from iOS device to your computer.

Browse to DWG FastView folders to find and download DWG files from iPhone or iPad to your computer.

Select DWG files on your PC or Mac and upload them to the connected iPhone or iPad using the built-in wireless transfer tool.
