The free wireless transfer app turns your iPhone into a server which can be accessed from your PC or laptop using a web browser. You can then easily upload photos, videos, music and other files from PC to iPhone or download files from iPhone to computer. File sharing between iPhone and Android using Xender app however is quite different. Here we’ll outline the steps to connect iPhone to Android and share files between them using Xender transfer app.
Download Xender on both iPhone and Android
The transfer app needs to be downloaded and installed on both iPhone and Android phone. You can find it from Apple App Store and Google Play Store. iPhone users can download Xender file transfer app here.
Enable Hotspot on Android
Instead of connecting your devices to the same Wi-Fi network, you should connecting iPhone to Android via mobile hotspot.
Run Xender app on Android phone, the Photo tab opens by default. Tap Send button at the middle bottom to bring up a QR code at the lower section of your phone screen. And the transfer app will activate the mobile hotspot on your phone automatically.

Connect iPhone to Android via Hotspot
Open Xender app on iPhone, tap Receive button at the middle bottom of your iPhone screen to open the camera to scan the QR code on your Android phone. You’ll then be told to connect your iPhone to a Wi-Fi network manually from Settings. Open Settings on iPhone, turn on Wi-fi, select the Wi-Fi hotspot name to connect. It is an open mobile hotspot without password.
Go back to Xender app on iPhone, tap on the Receive button again. This time the Connection screen opens. Tap the name of your Android device to connect your iPhone to it via hotspot.

Select and share files between iPhone and Android
Once your phones are connected, you can open the Photos, Audio, Videos or Files tab to select and send various files from iPhone to Android or the other way around.
