Download the file transfer app
Get the free file transfer app on to your iPhone from Apple App Store. You can find the download link from previous linked page. No need to install any software on computer. Use any desktop browser instead, such as Edge, Chrome, Safari, etc.
iPhone and PC connection options
When Wi-Fi is available, connect them to the same Wi-Fi network. Otherwise, enable personal hotspot on iPhone, then connect your PC or Mac to iPhone hotspot.
To setup Personal Hotspot on iPhone, Launch Settings from your iPhone home screen. Tap Mobile Data, then tap the slider to turn it on. Go back to the home menu of Settings. Choose Personal Hotspot, touch the On/Off toggle, then choose Turn on Wi-Fi to activate the Personal Hotspot option on your iPhone. You can then connect your computer to iPhone hotspot.

Connect iPhone to computer
Run Xender app on your iPhone, tap on the + icon at the top right corner, choose Connect PC from the drop-down menu. You will see a screen like this.

On the Connect PC screen, you get two web addresses, an alphabetical address and a numerical address.
On your PC or Mac, open a web browser to visit one of the web addresses above. If you open the alphabetical address, you will get a QR code in your desktop web browser, then tap on the Scan button in Xender app on iPhone to scan the QR code on your computer. If you visit the numerical address, local IP address from your computer, you will see the authorization dialog on iPhone immediately. You need to tap on the Accept button on iPhone to allow your computer to access your phone.

Transfer files from iPhone to computer or vise versa
Browse through the Images, Audio, Videos and/or Files category on the Xender Web interface on your PC or Mac to select files, photos, music, videos and documents and download them to your computer wirelessly.
At the top left corner of your desktop browser, click the Upload button to pick up files from your PC or Mac, then upload them to your iPhone.
